Tim Werth
Founding & Managing Partner, Werth Wealth Management & Financial Advisor & CPFA
Since he founded Werth Wealth Management 30 years ago, Tim has built a practice that specializes in providing comprehensive wealth management strategies for everyday families, businesses, high-net-worth individuals, foundations, endowments, and corporate retirement plans. Tim has been recognized by Forbes as a Best-In-State advisor annually since 2019. 2021 and 2022 brought recognition at the national level being on the Barron's Top 1200 advisors list in the state of Kansas. Additionally, Tim and his team were recognized by Forbes as a Best-In-State Wealth Management Team in 2023.
Honesty, trust, dedication to family and community, and confidence with humility are core values that Werth Wealth Management demonstrates every day. “Ultimately,” Tim says, “we strive to make sure that our clients’ families are strengthened and have a fulfilling family result. Life is about long-term, meaningful relationships that matter.”
Over the years, Tim has established a varsity team and unique culture at the firm, focused on providing a client experience based on exceptional service, and nurturing and sharpening the team’s strongest skills. He personally interviews and hires each member of the practice, choosing individuals with specific skill sets and high levels of competence. More importantly, he chooses team members for the character qualities they exhibit: a big heart, a genuine and deep care for those around them, and care for the long-term success of clients and their families. In his words, “We are our clients’ closest confidants; our clients trust us to take care of their families while they are here and after they’re gone.”
A skilled communicator with a love for numbers, Tim started out in the financial services industry more than 30 years ago. He earned his degree from Emporia State University, where he majored in Finance and minored in Accounting. Tim credits his family for his entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic which prepared him to face the hard work and long hours involved in establishing the practice.
Tim is proud to be a life-long resident of Hays, where he and his wife, Sandee, participate in many activities that support the local community. During off hours, you may find Tim enjoying time outdoors with family and friends, including sons Collin and Tanner, who share their dad’s interest in fishing.
Always an inspiration to those around him, Tim has these words to live by: “Do the right thing even if it hurts. Do not confuse really good with perfect. Forward always and backwards never. All things equal, the best communicator always wins.”
